SC INBRE looks forward to welcoming you to our 15th Annual Science Symposium and is excited to present an in-person day of learning and networking!

Science Symposium to be held on Saturday, February 10, 2024!

Our statewide annual Science Symposium will be held in the Russell House University Union on the USC Main Campus in Columbia (directions). Free parking is available in the Bull Street Garage adjacent to the Russell House.  (Bringing a bus or shuttle, please contact us to arrange special parking!)

What is the Science Symposium?

SC INBRE Developmental Research Project Program and Bioinformatics Pilot Project Program funded faculty and Student-Initiated Research Project Program students will give talks on their research. Researchers at all academic levels who have received funding from SC INBRE in the ast year can participate in our poster sessions. There will also be an exhibit hall and plenty of networking opportunities. We are offering the opportunity for student abstract submitters to give a 3-Minute Madness flash talk (3 minutes, 1 slide, 0 questions).

Who can submit a poster?

Anyone who has received funding from SC INBRE (DRP, BIPP, SIRP, RET, institutional funds, etc.) in the last year. NOTE: only student posters (high school, undergrad, grad, and postdoc) will be judged (PS. we will need judges — you can volunteer via the registration form).

Who can attend?

Anyone! Our 15th Annual Science Symposium will be open to any member of the public who choses to register. This is our chance to showcase the great work produced by SC INBRE! Students families and lab mates are encouraged to register to attend!

Is there a cost to attend?
