FGC/Microarray Core Facility
Associated with SC INBRE, the Functional Genomics Core Facility located at the University of South Carolina Columbia and part of the COBRE Center for Targeted Therapeutics. FGC offers state-of-the-art resources and solutions for conducting genomics, transcriptomics, epigenomics and functional genomics projects. The Core works with researchers to determine project goals and design custom solutions, as well as assists at all stages of the projects, from support in grant development to generation of publication-quality data.
The Microarray Core Facility, located at the University of South Carolina and a component of the Functional Genomics Core Facility, is a state-of-the-art facility that conducts gene expression profiling to monitor the levels of expression of all genes in the genome. Using our technology, a single experiment allows researchers to determine specific alterations in gene expression in various disease states, or progression, following exposure to drugs or chemicals.
