Workshops and Symposiums
Epigenomics Workshop was held on Thursday and Friday, November 16-17. Workshop focused on Epigenomics profiling and Functional analysis of the results and conducted by Drs. Yurii Chinenov and David Oliver from the David Z. Rosensweig Genomics Research Center, Hospital for Special Surgery and Weil Cornell Medicine. Presentations by Drs. Annual Science Symposium
Our annual Science Symposium was held on Saturday, October 28 at the SC State Museum in Columbia. The Symposium features talks by our Developmental Research Project Program funded faculty and includes a poster session by our students. Learn more | View photo gallery on Facebook
SC INBRE is pleased to present three different summer learning opportunities. Each of these workshops is free and open to the public. You need not be a member of the SC INBRE network to attend.

Academic Leadership Summer Workshop
Workshop will include sessions on NIH Funding: Developing your Grant Application (for Faculty and Postdocs): finding funding opportunities, what is the right grant for me?, developing a biosketch and more and Career Planning and Leadership Skills (sessions for Faculty, Postdocs and Students): Mentoring, getting the most out of your summer experience, how to develop a network and find collaborators and more. Instrumentation Resource Facility Research Symposium
The symposium will feature several talks by faculty using IRF equipment in their research, posters, and two keynote presentations by Jay Jerome of Vanderbilt University and Teng-Leong Chew of the HHMI Janelia Farms Research Campus. There will also be several workshops on equipment and software in the IRF. All presenters will receive a $500 voucher for use of equipment and services in the IRF and the best poster presentation will receive an additional $500 voucher. Bioinformatics Summer Workshop
The Bioinformatics Core of the SC INBRE Program has developed a sequence of courses based on the survey that was distributed to our members. The offered courses are based on popularity, sequenced based on their prerequisite requirement and are open to anyone interested in taking them. We are prepared to offer each course in person at the USC Columbia campus, online with live participation, or record them for later review. Learn more
